JOB OVERVIEW

Hydrow is seeking a full-time Video/Motion Graphics Designer to join the Hydrow Design team.  The ideal candidate is someone with strong video editing and design skills who has worked with marketing and brand teams, with a focus on paid media.  Your focus will be on creating short-form video ads by editing, cutting, and adding design and graphic elements to our existing video footage.  You will also help us create content for our owned social channels, including Instagram and TikTok.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • CREATE: VIDEO ADS Concept, design, and produce new video ads on an ongoing basis, primarily for use in paid social campaigns, to help promote the Hydrow brand and drive awareness, consideration, and purchase with prospects.  You’re constantly thinking of new edits and ways to cut and design our existing video footage to tell the Hydrow story, maximize engagement, and set us apart from the competition.  You’ll work collaboratively with brand, marketing, and design teams to make sure that concept ladders are up to brand guidelines.

    CREATE: OWNED ENGAGEMENT CONTENT Visualize and develop engaging social media content for various platforms, including, but not limited to: Instagram, YouTube, and Tiktok. You will act as the social media team’s person on the ground to capture content for events such as: Athlete filming, trade shows, influencer activations, and brand moments. You will work with the social media team to bring content ideas to life, sharing the Hydrow experience, highlighting our Athletes, and telling member stories. 

    TEST, LEARN, AND OPTIMIZE Digest learnings from our media agency and come up with creative ways to optimize our creative assets to continue our testing strategy and maximize creative efficiencies.

    WHO YOU ARE

  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATOR You will build relationships both internally and externally.  You will form relationships internally with all departments, particularly working with our brand and marketing teams.  You have the opportunity to build a great consumer experience, driving sales and engagement through the work you design and create. 

    A SKILLED VIDEO EDITOR You’re a master at After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator. Experience with Cinema4D and Final Cut Pro is a bonus. You feel comfortable designing and editing in these tools without guidance.

    CREATIVE You have a desire to build projects from inception to completion and find new ways to improve the content-creation process. You have experience in creating engaging visual content that captures the spirit of a brand. You have a vision for new content, but are also able to edit existing content into clips that are right for paid and owned platforms, particularly social media platforms.

    COMFORTABLE WITH AMBIGUITY  You are agile and are able to deal with ambiguity as stories and content come to light through the on-site content and editing process. You are comfortable with remote work and up to 50% travel, as our experiences team travels to capture the most beautiful Live Outdoor Reality for our members.
