The Video Director will possess exceptional storytelling skills with mastery in video production strategy, keen attention to detail, plus strong aesthetics (visual, communication, narrative, and motion design principles, including composition, framing, and timing) to create engaging content. This role will focus on building and scaling our Video Content Production function and discipline. This person is able to lead and manage internal production teams as well as external agencies, and direct professional and internal/external talent. They are a conceptual thinker and creative problem solver and have an understanding of what makes content— everything from live action to motion graphics— engaging and successful across all touchpoints and audiences. This role will work with multi-faceted and cross-functional teams focused on developing video content and photography in support of organizational wide Product & Marketing initiatives across all B2B2C touch points.

  • Concept, direct and deliver impactful videos and edits that engage key audiences.
  • Establish strong partnership with product, product marketing managers, clinical and other subject matter experts to help conceive and execute the appropriate range of video projects.
  • Visualize the project’s vision in the early conceptualization stage and continually ideate with the team throughout the edit.
  • Collaborate with key partners to ensure successful execution throughout the post-production process.
  • Direct teams to produce video content and photography, as well as touch all aspects of production from ideation, to video shooting, and post-production.
  • Methodically assess and resolve technical and creative issues.
  • Achieve high quality and continuity between multiple projects while working against ambitious deadlines.
  • Actively maintain expertise in the latest technology trends, techniques, and tools related to post-production.

  • Experience in film, broadcast, media production, or related field or equivalent experience at digital media agency, production house, or in-house creative.
  • A strong portfolio of successful, high-quality videos.
  • An expert in all aspects of filmmaking, and are able to lead internal production teams as well as vendors, and direct professional and internal talent.
  • Expert storyteller with a command of visual, communication, narrative, and motion design principles, including composition, framing, and timing.
  • Flexible and can direct big productions as well as getting hands-on in smaller projects.
  • Understanding of what makes content—everything from live action to motion graphics—engaging and successful across channels and key audiences.
  • Passion for  keeping up with trends across all types of media associated with in-app, website, digital and social media.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience in: cinematography, lighting, camera operation, sound recording, and video editing.
  • Excellent proficiency in: Final Cut Pro, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and a diverse range of motion design software, plug-ins, techniques and approaches.
  • Package and present creative solutions in an inspiring manner.
  • Clear and concise communicator displaying strong organization and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrates an awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals and stakeholders  from diverse cultures, backgrounds and orientations.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically as the need arises.

  • Pursuant to State Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:

    Colorado & New York State annual salary: $129,200 - $161,500
    New York City annual salary: $152,000 - $190,000
