The Events Manager will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of all events in which Collectors, PSA, DNA and WATA participate. This includes trade shows, industry conferences, bespoke customer engagement events among others.  

This role is open to both hybrid and remote candidates. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Develops and manages the execution and logistics of shows and events to achieve business objectives
• Conducts short/long-term planning and management for events
• Manages budget to meet trade show expense goals set by management
• Create, manage and communicate event strategy to further Collectors business objectives
• Performs post-show analysis of expenses and ways to make improvements
• Sources and negotiates with vendor and service providers for best arrangements within budget
• Works with the event sales team to meet or exceed revenue targets in all event areas
• Works with the marketing team to recommend, develop, and implement effective marketing plans for generating event revenue
• Assembles creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsources to qualified vendors
• Manages, trains, and works with event staff to solicit and book banquet and catering functions, as well as the planning and execution of functions
• Leads event team to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives
• Administers all phases of the events department, including but not limited to planning, servicing, and administrative procedures
• Coaches and counsels employees to reflect company service standards and procedures
• Ensures that all events adhere to the Collectors brand and standard of excellence

Competencies

 To exemplify successful job performance, the Collectors Show Manager must demonstrate the following:

• 5+ years of experience in event planning
• 2+ years of event management experience
• Knowledge of the collectibles industry, or a willingness to learn the basics of the collectibles industry
• Excellent client relations and customer service skills
• Understand production requirements and timelines of successful trade show execution
• Ability to act quickly and decisively with solutions to unexpected issues
• Verified project management skills; ability to plan, manage, and complete projects within a given timeframe
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
• Strong verbal and written skills
• High level of accuracy with attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable both to upper management and his/her team with the ability to motivate
• Flexible, self-motivated, organized, and confident
• Proficiency with Google products – Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides
