The Opportunity

With the hypergrowth of our unique marketplace, one of Medely’s top priorities is to grow the number of nurses and other medical professionals that make a living via our platform. You will be challenged to envision and execute an experience that will carry prospective professionals through the journey of becoming an active and engaged professional in a fast, easy and intuitive way. As the product owner responsible for the “Pro Growth” charter, you will develop and execute on the vision, strategy, and roadmap to attract and retain a deep and talented pool of nurses, medical techs, and other roles. You will also create an extensible platform that simplifies this process while crafting a delightful experience for people across all our product lines.Medely has empowered thousands of medical professionals to achieve their dream of a flexible livelihood. As a Product Manager on this team, your impact on making new professionals successful is the lifeblood that powers Medely’s striking growth and creates a path to economic empowerment for thousands of people every year. Our ideal candidate for this role will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is motivated by challenging problems and constraints, and is passionate about great user experiences, scaling through technology, and combining quantitative and qualitative data to guide decision-making. 

What you will do:
  • Own the product roadmap, definition, and execution for building Medely’s Pro onboarding experience, balancing customer needs, technical debt, and stakeholder requests
  • Own and lead the end-to-end product development process of major features and iterations, including creating high quality PRDs, working closely with engineering, design, etc. to bring world class products to market
  • Innovate - find new ways of simplifying the user experience with new technologies
  • Be actively involved in defining the strategy for your program
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair our ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
  • Own your numbers, drive your cross-functional team of engineers, designers, etc. to set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals -- and overachieve them
  • Distill vision and strategy for the team, rally all members of the cross-functional team
  • Clearly communicate product plans, benefits, and results to stakeholders

  • What you'll need:
  • 5+ years of PM or similar experience developing successful and innovative consumer products, and managing complex software projects through multiple iterations
  • Experience with a marketplace business is a plus
  • Strong customer compassion, and the ability to blend user research with data to build a prioritized product roadmap
  • Data driven. You always get the data you need, and you can distill it into an insightful story, most importantly, you use data to drive strategic decisions
  • Technical skills. Don’t have to have a Computer Science degree, but the ability to inform and evaluate engineering decisions
  • The ability to zoom out and think strategically and execute methodically
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment where continuous innovation is desired
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality
