The Manager, Retailer Data Partnerships role is to establish and reinforce the NCS value proposition with new and participating retailers. They will help become a revenue generating value to the retailer and a solutions provider by strengthening NCS’s relationship with major retailer clients, expanding offerings and adding value by helping clients to grow their businesses via use of the NCS products
RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain day-to-day relationships with participating retailers and support expansion opportunitiesManage the parent company relationshipsPrepare proposals and recommendations for future business opportunitiesPenetrate business, analytics and operations/IT functions with retail partners such that the business process is solidly established. Monitor progress with retailers through each “match” cycle to ensure proper input files are received on a timely basis and updated files are returned to the retailers. Help overcome roadblocks through relationships developed with retailer business leaders/contactsEnsure data flow to NCS remains continuous by working with base parent company account teams during the contract renewal process for both NCS addendums and base network contractsParticipate as a member of NCS’s retail/BUY data team in annual strategic planning, providing insights from the retailer relationship perspective and enhancing NCS’s retailer value propositionAttend key CPG/Retailer trade shows and educational forums (in order to understand retailer needs), interact with retailers and secure new retailer partnersUnderstand and assist with data stewardship and usage rights of retailers’ data within NCS, ensuring we meet expectations. (i.e., Client Consulting – approvals for account-specific campaigns when needed, Operations – modeling levels, etc.)Ensure that quarterly revenue share calculations are properly administered (percent of retailer data calculations, revenue subject to share, etc.) Work with IT, finance/accounting as neededGather input on product needs/enhancements. Participate in cross-functional teams/projectsParticipate in the design and development of prototype solutionsParticipate in knowledge sharing across the organizationOther duties as assignedPOSITION QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceHas 5-7 years of experience working directly with retailers and a good understanding of retailer’s operations, data and data collection processesExperience with IRI, Neilsen IQ, or Frequent shopper data is requiredExcellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills Strong customer contact, negotiation, and persuasive skills are a plus Must be able to travel (30%) and willing to meet with retailer and data partnersOur comprehensive benefits package (including health & wellness plans, 401(k) retirement coupled with a NCS match, a generous paid time off policy, and if eligible, a discretionary incentive/bonus) is designed to be inclusive for all employees and families, and we take pride in ensuring that employees are rewarded holistically for the role they are doing and their performance.
A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $65,000 - $121,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at NCS is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
