Summary of the role:
Mission Driven: We’re looking for a mission-driven individual to join us in creating engaging and effective experiences to empower successful behavioral health change. 

Systems Thinker: You see how all pieces fit and function together and understand how the details can have ripple effects.

Craft:  Create innovative and creative design solutions that turn complex workflows into elegant, efficient user experiences

Ownership: You will be responsible for owning the patient journey for expert medical opinion from across all users (patients, nurses, MDs) from road mapping, to strategy,  to, launching new product offering.

Mentorship: You will bring practice improvement, thought leadership, creative thinking, and mentorship for less experienced designers.

Description of an ideal candidate:
Craft: Ideal experiences would be in UX, UI, HCI, product design and/or service design for turning complex enterprise experience into elegant products that users want to use. 

Scale: Proven experience creating and designing design systems at scale to improve PRDs and remits

User Empathy: We’re looking for an individual who always begins with and returns to the end user; is comfortable sketching, prototyping, and iterating quickly to share and validate; can see the "big picture" with a strong desire to continuously improve every detail of our user experience. 

Business impact: Cares about moving the business metrics and has had proven ability to influence and impact KPIs.

Operational acumen: knows how to work with operations/clinical teams to influence solutions on and off the screen. 

Leadership:  strong  facilitator and  relationships builder with end users and stakeholders by listening to needs, inviting collaboration on planning and strategy development and communicating timely updates

  • Be a steward of great product design by ensuring solutions set high visual and interaction design quality standards

  • Strategy
  • Contribute to product vision and strategy resulting in emotionally engaging and easy to use experiences.
  • Lead the development and delivery of solutions that meet intended project goals and result in outcomes that positively impact key metrics

  • Leadership & Mentorship
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers and other designers to ensure designs drive desired UX, business, and technical outcomes
  • Mentor and grow less experienced designers while evangelizing best design practices and finds opportunities to elevate confidence in our work across the larger company

  • 7+ years of experience
  • A portfolio demonstrating: shipment of multiple products successfully; strong skills in applying interaction design patterns to solve complex workflows, as well as in visual design, information hierarchy, layout, composition, and typography.
  • Expert understanding of visual systems and best practices, including layout, iconography, typography and have a curiosity and eye for pushing visual design in interfaces forward
  • Experience working on complex tools people use daily to get their work done (CRM, medical records, productivity tools, etc)
  • Experience in leading product design from opportunity development, to concept, to shipment
  • Strong Facilitations skills leading groups through brainstorming and decision making processes
  • Proven ability to communicate deep design thinking at all levels of the organization
  • Experience designing for mobile apps or other interactive digital platforms.
  • Strong prototyping experience at multiple levels of fidelity and helped elevate prototyping skills and utilization across your teams in the past
  • The ability to design and document user flows and design components at a system level
  • Ability to lead small scale user research initiatives and translate insights into actions
  • Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, industrial design,  Product Design, service design, Human-computer Interaction (HCI), or equivalent experience 

  • Pursuant to State Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:

    Colorado & New York State annual salary: $132,600 - $165,750
    New York City annual salary: $156,00 - $195,000
