As an Industrial Designer at WHOOP, you will create the future of wearable technology and more. You are a passionate, talented, and consumer-centric designer who will lead the design for your projects that will contribute to the evolution of our product line and ecosystem. You will create accessories, equipment, and device experiences that support WHOOP through innovation, functionality, and compelling narratives.
This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Industrial Design.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Design physical products and experiences, with member-focused benefits and narrative-driven concepts.Be the design stakeholder for conceptualization and through design, development, and production confirmationWork functionally and collaboratively as part of the Apparel and Accessories, Hardware, Spatial teams--collaborating, engaging, contributing to the environment and cultureResearch direct competitor landscape for opportunities and insight in regards to features, benefits, and price pointsBrainstorm on new concepts and contribute meaningfully to Industrial Design approach and outputCollaborate closely with Apparel and Accessories business unit including product marketing, design, business planning, sourcing, and development to deliver compelling end-to-end concepts and innovationsCollaborate closely with Hardware teams when necessary to ensure cohesiveness across design, development and manufacturing Work seamlessly between fabrics, textiles, and molded parts as well as the associated mass production processes Create high quality imagery and visuals for internal and external usesQUALIFICATIONS:1-3 years of related experienceExperience utilizing 2D design platforms such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesignExperience utilizing 3D CAD programs, Solidworks, Keyshot, 3D printingStrong knowledge of fabric, trims, and hardware.Knowledge of Packaging design and manufacture a plusCollaborative by nature, able to elevate the work of their peers and allow their own work to be elevated by othersA high degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approach.Experience working with and partnering with factories overseas to launch productsHighly organized and eager to work in a fast-paced, boundless businessThis is a Boston based roleThis role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

Salary range:
Our salary intelligence calculated a range for this position between $70,000 - $90,000.
