Team Whistle is looking for a Social Producer. In this role, this candidate will help develop and execute our social and short form content strategy and production across all social channels for both Whistle O&O and client partner campaigns.
The candidate must be a team player and collaborator who will work closely with our Insights, Marketing, Sales, Talent, Production, Post Production and Programming teams to ensure our content is produced in a best-in-class fashion and is optimized for performance across our distribution channels as a publishing leader in the sports and entertainment space.

We're looking for a key player on the content team who can lead multiple client projects at once and is enthusiastic about social media and all things culture -- someone who is a data-obsessed self-starter with excellent judgment and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage creation and execution of Whistle short form content across all social platforms, with a focus on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
- Oversee hosted and creator-led social content strategy, including sourcing and vetting talent, collaborating on creative concepts and managing edits and outputs.
- Lead overall original TikTok strategy, including editorial calendars, posting cadence, original hosted content (skits, on the ground event coverage, green screen videos) and UGC curation.
- Responsible for ideation and execution for on set social production for client work and Whistle Originals.
- When unavailable to be on set, responsible for hiring of and oversight of freelance social production resources and their creative output.
- Ensure the team is equipped and well-trained on social production best practices and executes on a high level.
- Act as social creative lead in client meetings, on-set and in post production being the first to give notes on social cuts.
- Partner with Account Management and marketing leads to ensure social RFPs are answered on brief and on deadline.
- Lead social brainstorms with cross-functional teams for both client-facing and original projects.
- Responsible for full funnel and life cycle of branded & original social content, from ideation to execution on our primary channels of TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, Meta (FB + IG), YouTube and emerging platforms (Twitch, etc.).
- Lead cross platform promotional support for Whistle original series and development of social content designed to promote longform episodic content.
- Working with the team - help build channel strategy and execute process for all Whistle social platforms including: YouTube, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Use operational tools such as Trello to manage output and planning of editorial/social short form content across all Whistle’s owned and operated channels as well as for partners and client.
- Oversee production process with talent and directors to ensure creative vision comes to life through Whistle’s social programming.
- Be at the cutting edge of the cultural zeitgeist; understanding internet, social and meme culture and how to credibly and sensitively work within it whilst maintaining brand safety.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be fluent in all social platforms, including engagement best practices, formats, specs and paid promotion opportunities.
- Eager to learn and support team members as well as lead the rest of the team with a positive can’t stop won’t stop attitude.
- 3+ years experience managing social accounts for a publisher or brand (ideally a publisher, brand).
- Comfortable with talent- and client-facing reports and coordination - account management experience a plus.
- Experience working with creative teams, especially video editors and designers.
- Fluent with social analytics tools such as IG & TikTok Insights, YouTube Analytics, Twitter Analytics, Simply Measured.
