Associate Multiplayer Quality Assurance Tester / Development Support (Temporary Assignment)

The entry level position into Naughty Dog Quality Assurance (NDQA). No prior testing experience is required. The position entails “testing” (manipulation of software to expose defects, the investigation, repetition, and recording of those defects in an online database, and regression of those defects once claimed fixed). The tester is expected to learn the best practices of NDQA working closely with a more experienced mentor, gain familiarity with our hardware and software, and form positive working relationships with other NDQA staff. They may be called upon for development support tasks under senior guidance.

Responsibilities:

• Quality assurance / development support with a focus on our multiplayer titles
• Identify, log, and maintain gameplay issues
• Ad hoc and bug regression testing when applicable
• Creation and execution of test plans
• Eager to learn new skills with the ability to teach them to others
• Flexible and adaptive to assignment and schedule changes, including overtime
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Requirements & Skills:

• A desire to be part of the Naughty Dog Team
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrable skill set beyond just bug investigation and documentation
• Willingness to share opinions/feedback with other departments
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Team-oriented individual who can also work effectively alone
• Working knowledge of PS4 and PS5 systems

Bonus Skills: 

• Formal post-high school education (college, technical school, etc.)
• Scripting / Programming experience
• Photoshop / Digital Art experience
• Networking / Online Multiplayer development or testing experience
