Continued growth means we are looking for a UX Designer with experience in beautiful, user-centred, accessible design to join our high performing team. You’ll play a key role in improving existing products while innovating the future. You have a willingness to listen, share, and challenge existing methods as means of reflecting on your own designs and approaches. Familiar with User Centered Design principles, you can facilitate activities that help us understand our users’ and stakeholders’ needs, behaviours and emotions. You have a keen eye for design and know how to bring together typography, colour, space and motion to create beautiful and intuitive user experiences. You know how to articulate and explain your design choices and ideas to highlight our products’ capabilities and are used to collaborating with others to create high-quality visuals. From concept to execution, across different digital platforms, you are familiar with a range of design tools. Design is now at the forefront of how we innovate, so by working with researchers, visual designers, web developers and engineers, you’ll refine Fusion Sport’s design language to guide the organisation’s product development. So by applying your problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment, you’ll help grow the design culture. Role Responsibilities Creatively advocate for design thinking while challenging established methods Apply a consistent look and feel for Fusion Sport’s products Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, Development teams to identify design priorities and opportunities in a rapidly changing environment Effectively communicate and present ideas to cross-functional teams Support successful design outcomes with written documentation and presentations Facilitate and analyse user feedback with testing and experiments What you need to bring to the role 1-2 years of work experience in user-centered design fields: UX Design, Product Design or similar Proficient with industry standard visual and interaction design tools (e.g. Sketch, Figma, Adobe Suite) Demonstrated design skills with solid visual sense, ability to craft and prototype designs from low fidelity to high fidelity Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills Experience working from design concept to technical implement while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams Must be self-motivated and demonstrate capability to self-manage and problem-solve Exceptional time management skills, managing ranging workloads to meet critical project deadlines without compromising quality Portfolio or work samples showcasing design process, creativity and reflection Experience running design reviews and user testing sessions with different audiences and stakeholders Extra kudos if you can bring the following Experience implementing design systems across a wide range of digital platforms (e.g. desktop, mobile) in an iterative, agile environment Understanding of front-end technology and its influence and interactions with user experience This role is a full-time permanent position based out of our Sumner HQ.
