About the role Public Relations Drive PR strategy and execution, relation with influencers, ambassadors and organization for local events, experiential events, local tradeshows and retailer conferences Manage Product launch in country activities and events Social Media Drive Social Media strategy and execution of local activities & content + Assist with localization of pan-euro / global activities Partnerships Implement relevant brand partnerships (WW, Pan-Euro, Country) for the country Brand Communications: Localise/adapt EMEA global marketing strategies, product messaging and customer campaigns to align with consumer needs in local markets. Manage consistency and clarity of brand messages across all local executions. Especially for in country product launch Marketing/Media Planning: Develop & execute annual Marketing Plan tailored to local market incorporating Product roadmap, PR, brand, retail and partnership activities Assist with Global Media planning – joined work between countries and EMEA team Drive fully Media partnership and TV integration with local agency as part of country media plan Above responsibilities are executed in conjunction with relevant EMEA Marketing Functions: EMEA PR & Events Manager, EMEA Digital Marketing Manager, EMEA Brand & Communication Manager, EMEA Channel Marketing Manager Duties and Responsibilities Public Relations Coordinate with local PR agency to deliver the agreed strategy working across seasonal outreaches, events, publicity campaigns, sponsorships and product range launches to generate coverage and support key marketing initiatives to achieve business objectives. Identifying and managing local opportunities and communications via current and emerging media channels Social Media Coordinate Social Media strategy with local agencies Implement local social media strategy in line with the EMEA regional strategy to drive engagement and sales conversions Create relevant & necessary content as per local partnership/sponsorship and activities Channel Marketing Directly responsible for relevant regional channel marketing activities: retailer & distributor programs & events, merchandising, POP creation, field team management, experiential marketing, trade shows across the region. Works with EMEA channel marketing team to leverage developed assets and programs. Partnerships Identifying and building strategic partnerships with key media stakeholders, strategic partners and suppliers to align with local business objectives Identify, evaluate and negotiate appropriate local partnerships, sponsorships and ambassador relationships. Execute local partnership strategy Brand communications Work closely with EMEA team to input & feedback on global messaging, campaigns brief, PR messaging. Ensure consistent and clear use of brand in all communications. Marketing/Media Planning Develop 360° Marketing Plan which deliver high levels of customer awareness, customer demand & revenue growth. Input/feedback/assist with EMEA Global media planning Identify & fully execute with local agency relevant media partnerships/TV integration initiatives Ensure all campaigns are in line with overarching global brand strategy. Manage campaign integration across touch points. Intelligence & Reporting Monitor & report on Market trends, market share quarterly (GFK) Monitor & report on brand health across portfolio quarterly. Monitor & Report on competitor media and channels activities Reporting on a weekly basis required to monitor activities & demonstrate ROI. Report weekly on campaigns performance across key marketing metrics – in case of TV integration/media partnerships/brand partnerships – in conjunction with EMEA team for Digital and TV campaign Adherence to set budgets. Operate within EMEA set retainer fee for PR/social and Media budget. Country Marketing Director ownership on Media mix, Product launch and Events budget, Influencers, ambassadors and Partnerships budget, Product samples budget Cross functional relationships & overall contribution to the regional Marketing team Experience 8+ years strong, classic product/brand Marketing background Experience leading the Marketing function including specific experience in across both online and retail channels. Proven ability and desire to help build a Marketing infrastructure, including processes, methodologies and tools required to drive Marketing effectiveness Proven ability to work with EMEA Marketing functions and expertise and not in country isolation Experience with working with global brands Demonstrated experience in management of strategic Partnership & Sponsorship, negotiating contract terms Sound understanding of and experience working in Consumer Electronics and/or Sporting businesses Knowledge & Skills Strong commercial acumen and strong focus on measurable activities. Excellent relationship building skills Marketing plan development, management and planning skills Strong retail background Good financial analysis skills Ability to work autonomously Ability to partner effectively, collaborate and influence across an organization Detail-oriented, comfort working in a fast-paced environment Fitbit is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
