As part of Metrica Sports you will: ● Be part of a small highly skilled and motivated team focused on developing high quality software for sports data analysis and video editing. ● Get to work in the exciting and rewarding sports technology field within Major League Soccer ● Work as a video technician performing a wide variety of tasks involved in the deployment of PTZ recording software and hardware. This involves tasks such as technical support, hardware installations, system test and integration, system troubleshooting, operations, maintenance, repair and training. ● Work closely with coaching staff, performance analysts and key stakeholders within both MLS teams and the Professional Referee Organization. ● Be able to work remote. REQUIREMENTS PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - This is a contract position with hours to be determined , weekend work is a must with a flexible weekly schedule to be arranged. ● Assist the Operations Manager in the weekly capture of MLS games via remote support of in- stadium operators ● Assist in the weekly workflow to connect the relevant internal departments to ensure the successful capture and delivery of all games to our Major League Soccer Clients. ● Connect with the in stadium client operator on game day. ● Oversee the recording of select games remotely ensuring quality of video capture and camera set up meets the high standards required by our partner clubs. ● Be on call during games to troubleshoot any issues ● Perform post game duties including the upload of video files to our data acquisition team ● Liaise with the data acquisition team in Amsterdam to ensure smooth delivery of the game ● Assist in the maintanince of all recording equipment BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - 2+ year technical degree in related discipline and 2+ year related experience in specific area - Troubleshoot hardware and video capture equiptment - Troubleshoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems problems as required INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: - Effectively work in a virtual team environment - Ability to communicate effectively (listening, presenting and questioning) - Ability to manage conflict effectively by maintaining a level of civility and professional respect - Excellent customer service skills - Positive team participation skills - Strong organizational, written and communication skills - Have a self-starter attitude and be capable of working independently after completion of training.
